At Tether Insights, we respect your privacy and the privacy of your customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information within the TetherOS platform.

1. Information We Collect

To power the TetherOS decision engine, we collect three categories of data:

  • Account Data: Information you provide to create an account (name, email, company name, billing information).

  • Client-Provided "Signals": Data you upload for analysis, which may include survey responses, interview transcripts, UGC content, customer call recordings, and cultural observations.

  • Usage Data: Technical information about how you interact with TetherOS (IP address, browser type, and feature usage patterns).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To process your "Signals" through our behavioral frameworks and generate creative strategy insights.

  • Platform Improvement: To analyze how users interact with our OS to fix bugs and develop new features.

  • Benchmarking (Anonymized): We may use de-identified, aggregated data to create industry-wide insights (e.g., "Average motivation scores in the Health & Wellness vertical"). This data never identifies you, your brand, or your specific customers.

3. Data Processing Role (GDPR/CCPA)

  • Tether Insights as a Processor: When you upload data regarding your customers (the "Signals"), you are the Data Controller and we are the Data Processor. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to collect and share that data with us.

  • Tether Insights as a Controller: We are the Data Controller for your Account Data (e.g., your login and billing info).

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who help us run our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors).

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and integrity of our platform.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as a business asset.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using SSL/TLS protocols.

  • Access Controls: Restricted access to production environments to only essential personnel.

  • Regular Audits: Periodic reviews of our data collection and storage practices.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you (and your customers) may have the right to:

  • Access/Export: Request a copy of the data we hold.

  • Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Deletion: Request that we delete personal information, subject to legal obligations.

  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

7. Data Retention

We retain your Account Data for as long as your account is active. Client-Provided Signals are retained until you delete them or terminate your subscription. Upon termination, we provide a 30-day window for data export before permanent deletion.

8. International Data Transfers

If you are accessing TetherOS from outside [Insert Country, e.g., the United States], please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in [Insert Country] where our servers are located.

9. Changes to This Policy
